The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is the intellectual hub ofthe University of Oregon, serving nearly two-thirds of all students. CAS staff and managers are integralto this work, playing vital roles in supporting academic excellence and advancing the mission of both the College and the University. Founded in 1930, the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology (OIMB) isthe third oldest marine laboratory on the Pacific Coast. The
130-acre campus, located about two hours from Eugene, maintainshousing, teaching, and research facilities for University of Oregonstudents and faculty, as well as visiting investigators and students from other institutions. Resident faculty are members ofthe Department of Biology and conduct research on the development,ecology, evolution, and physiology of marine organisms worldwidefrom the intertidal zone to the deep sea.

The University of Oregon's Institute of Marine Biology maintains apool of applicants for temporary instructional positions. Coursesmay be taught in the following areas: marine birds and mammals,biology of fishes, invertebrate zoology, and short courses inmarine biological invasions, marine biodiversity, seaweed biology,ocean acidification, and biological illustrations. Positions are limited duration appointments potentially renewablefor up to a total of three years, based on programmatic need,funding, and performance.

• Master's degree in field related to Marine Biology
• One (1) year post-secondary instructional experience

• Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to contribute to institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

• Ph.D in field related to Marine Biology
