The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) is the intellectual hub ofthe University of Oregon, serving nearly two-thirds of all students. The Computer Science Department in the College of Arts and Sciences offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Computer Science. The departmentserves approximately 600 undergraduate and 90 graduate majors, aswell as offering a number of general education classes in the discipline. Computer Science instruction emphasizes a rigorous yetcreative approach to computing, prioritizing synchronous, hands-on,face-to-face learning rather than fully remote or asynchronousformats.

The Department of Computer Science at the University of Oregon isinviting applications for its open instructor pool. Instructionalopportunities include mainly introductory courses, covering the fundamentals of computer science, web programming, problem solving,and more.

Positions are limited duration appointments potentially renewablefor up to a total of three years, based on programmatic need,funding, and performance. Screening of applications will take placeas positions become available and continue until positions arefilled.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Education,or a related field.

• Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to contribute to institutional diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

• A PhD in Computer Science, Computer Science Education, or arelated field.
• Teaching and/or practical experience in the field.
