The Business, Technology, and Trades Division of Lane Community College invites applications for a part-time, as-needed, Instructional Specialist for the Electrical Apprenticeship Program.

* Part-Time, As-Needed summer/fall position

* Variable work hours based on department needs; a weekly schedule will be determined in order to complete the clean-up, design, installation, and troubleshooting of the electrical apprenticeship lab and equipment.

* Schedules may vary with hours increasing during peak periods up to 40 hours per week, up to 1039 hours in a 12 month period.

Required QUALIFICATIONS

Required

Education:

* Two years of post-secondary education or training with coursework in the area of assignment

OR

* Journeyman License in the following classifications (general journeyman electrician, manufacturing plant electrician, or limited maintenance electrician)

Required Experience:

Two (2) years of experience in the electrical trade.

Licensure or Certification Requirements Conditions of Employment:

* Must work and reside in the state of Oregon at the time their work is being performed.

Preferred QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Education

* Associate's Degree within the Construction Industry.

* Licensed Journeyman.

Preferred Experience

* Demonstrable, real-world experience in electrical theory, national electrical code, motors and motor controls, and programmable logic controllers.

* Construction or industrial foreman/supervision in an industrial setting.

* Supervising Electrician experience.
