Environmental Engineer AA-

A leading specialty chemical manufacturing company is seeking an Environmental Engineer for its facility near Eugene, OR. This individual will play a key role in maintaining environmental compliance across air, wastewater, waste, stormwater, and chemical reporting programs while supporting safe and sustainable operations. • Manage and support environmental compliance programs, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permit requirements.
• Provide technical environmental guidance to operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams regarding compliance obligations, permitting requirements, and regulatory changes.
• Evaluate projects, process modifications, and operational changes to identify environmental impacts and permitting needs.
• Prepare and support environmental reporting activities, including emissions, wastewater, hazardous materials, and other regulatory submissions while maintaining compliance records and tracking systems.
• Participate in audits, inspections, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing environmental performance and compliance effectiveness.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of environmental compliance experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of air permitting and compliance requirements, along with experience supporting wastewater programs and environmental reporting obligations.
• Familiarity with environmental programs such as hazardous waste management, stormwater, SPCC, and EPCRA reporting.
• Proven ability to analyze data, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively across departments, and influence stakeholders in a fast-paced operational setting.
