A leading specialty chemical manufacturing company is seeking an Environmental Engineer for its facility near Eugene, OR. This individual will play a key role in maintaining environmental compliance across air, wastewater, waste, stormwater, and chemical reporting programs while supporting safe and sustainable operations. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with operations, engineering, and site leadership teams, providing technical expertise and helping drive environmental performance improvements.

- Manage and support environmental compliance programs, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulations and permit requirements.
- Provide technical environmental guidance to operations, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams regarding compliance obligations, permitting requirements, and regulatory changes.
- Evaluate projects, process modifications, and operational changes to identify environmental impacts and permitting needs.
- Prepare and support environmental reporting activities, including emissions, wastewater, hazardous materials, and other regulatory submissions while maintaining compliance records and tracking systems.
- Participate in audits, inspections, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing environmental performance and compliance effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of environmental compliance experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or similarly regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of air permitting and compliance requirements, along with experience supporting wastewater programs and environmental reporting obligations.
- Familiarity with environmental programs such as hazardous waste management, stormwater, SPCC, and EPCRA reporting.
- Proven ability to analyze data, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively across departments, and influence stakeholders in a fast-paced operational setting.
