Event Staff – University of Oregon Events (Eugene, OR)

Crowd Management Services (CMS) is hiring Event Staff to support University of Oregon events right here in Eugene!

Looking for a flexible, part-time job that fits your class schedule and puts you in the middle of the action?

Event Staff (General Responsibilities)

As an Event Staff member, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, organized, and enjoyable experience for guests at a variety of events, including athletic games, concerts, and large campus events.

Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
  • Greeting guests and providing directions to seating, entrances, concessions, and amenities
  • Assisting with crowd flow and keeping walkways and event areas clear
  • Monitoring assigned sections to support safety and guest experience
  • Supporting entry operations such as ticket scanning or guiding guests through checkpoints
  • Helping maintain a positive, high-energy environment at both sporting events and concerts
  • Communicating with team members and supervisors to respond to guest needs
Public Safety Inspections (Training to be provided)
  • Checking bags and helping enforce the venue's policies and procedures
  • Assisting guests through walk-through metal detectors
  • Using handheld metal detector wands for secondary screening when needed
  • Providing directions, answering questions, and maintaining a professional, friendly presence
Response Rovers (Training to be provided)
  • Moving throughout the venue to support guests and team members
  • Responding to calls for assistance as situations arise
  • Helping manage crowd flow and keeping areas clear and safe
  • Assisting with minor issues and escalating concerns when needed
  • Providing directions and creating a positive guest experience
Physical Requirements (What to Expect During Shifts)

This is an active, on-your-feet role in a fast-paced event environment.

During your shift, you may:
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Walk throughout large venues, including stairs and different event areas
  • Work both indoors and outdoors, adjusting to changing weather conditions
