The Director of Finance is a full-time, on-site role based in Eugene, OR. This position oversees all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports. The Director of Finance will lead financial planning activities, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and support strategic decision-making by providing clear financial insights to leadership. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring key financial metrics, guiding cost control initiatives, improving financial processes and systems, and collaborating with department managers to align financial goals with operational needs.
The role also includes managing relationships with external financial partners and supporting continuous improvement in financial performance and accountability.
- Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Proficiency in preparing and analyzing financial statements and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Experience in leading or supervising finance teams, with a focus on collaboration and process improvement.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, compliance requirements, and financial controls.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
