Position Summary

The TAS is a field-based role in a customer model to engage Health Care Providers (HCPs), driving adoption of BMS medicines for appropriate patients through a differentiated Customer Experience (Cx) and scientific dialogue aligned with label information and CE^3. The TAS builds credibility with regional thought leaders and community-based physicians/HCPs in private practice, medical groups, and other stakeholders, serving as their primary point of contact.

The TAS collaborates with other BMS functions to deliver a high Cx by meeting HCP needs timely and scientifically. This role prioritizes safe and appropriate use of BMS products while focusing on business results and BMS values. The role requires substantial field-based activity with external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Promotion:
    Promote approved indications of BMS products within a defined territory to meet or exceed sales targets in a compliant manner.
  • Demand Creation:
    Articulate the clinical and scientific rationale for product use in appropriate patients to create demand.
  • Scientific Expertise:
    Maintain a high level of scientific expertise across assigned products and therapeutic areas.
  • Territory & Account Plans:
    Prepare and implement comprehensive territory and account plans.
  • Dynamic Call Planning:
    Proactively use tools such as SOPHIA to inform call plans and derive insights.
  • Feedback & Improvement:
    Provide leadership with feedback on tool usage to enable continuous improvement.
  • Fair & Balanced Scientific Dialogue:
    Demonstrate scientific expertise and use approved resources to present information accurately to HCPs.
  • In-office Presentations:
    Conduct lunch-and-learns and discuss product-related information aligned with label.
  • Speaker Programs:
    Organize external speaker programs, select speakers from approved lists, and coordinate scheduling and logistics.
  • Emerging Data:
    Maintain working knowledge on emerging data for approved indications.
  • Medical Support:
    Engage Medical on Call for real-time support to answer unsolicited questions and complex inquiries.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate with field teams to ensure optimal Cx for HCPs and share insights with stakeholders.
  • Compliance:
    Adhere to all laws, regulations, and policies governing BMS activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Advanced scientific degree and/or at least 5 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience in healthcare sales, MSL, HCP, or nursing roles.
  • Ability to communicate scientific or clinical data accurately to support patient care.
  • Proven credibility with key customers and a customer-centric mindset to create a differentiated Cx.
  • Experience in cardiovascular settings preferred.
  • Strong account management, selling competencies, and track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with a positive, team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong selling and promotional skills with demonstrated performance.
