Department Information
Our Health Professions Department is seeking to expand its pool of part‑time faculty to teach Medical Assisting.
- Beyond the required education and experience, instructors must have a passion for what they teach and teaching styles that support student success.
- Instructors are responsible for following Division and College procedures in support of teaching and learning.
- This is an application pool posting for 2025‑2026. The assigned location for this position is at the Lane Community College main campus in Eugene, Oregon.

Salary/Wage – Hourly
- Initial salary placement will be determined using the application.

Working Schedule
- Evenings and weekends may be required depending on teaching schedule.
- Classes as assigned by Division Dean based on need, enrollment, and availability of contracted and/or more senior part‑time faculty.
Associate of Science in health‑related field from an accredited institution required.
Required Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years clinical medical assisting experience.
- Recent college teaching in specified area required.
- Recent training in BBP, OSHA, HIPAA, and Oregon State safety regulation.
Licensure or Certification Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- Current and certified by American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA).
