This contract/travel registered nurse works in Labor & Delivery for 13 weeks in Eugene, Oregon, providing comprehensive obstetric and neonatal care. The role supports the team by delivering high-quality nursing services and ensuring patient safety during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Key Responsibilities:Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal patients within the Labor & Delivery unit.
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for obstetric patients.
Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs using EFM systems, ensuring patient safety and timely intervention if needed.
Assist during labor and delivery procedures, including c‑sections, utilizing scrubs and following sterile techniques.
Educate and support patients and their families regarding labor, postpartum care, and neonatal health, ensuring emotional and informational support throughout the birthing process.
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Oregon or ability to obtain licensure.
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications, current and active.
Minimum of 2 years of recent labor & delivery nursing experience.
Ability to work night shifts.
Flexibility to float within the unit.
Strong clinical skills in obstetrics.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong teamwork skills.

Previous travel nurse experience.
