Medical Assistant – Eugene, OR (Oregon Allergy Associates)
Position Overview: Full‑time Medical Assistant at Oregon Allergy Associates, a specialty clinic dedicated to allergy, asthma, and immunologic care. The role supports providers to ensure seamless patient care in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare charts, including PDMP reports and necessary consents.
- Assist with patient discharge and provide after‑visit summaries.
- Clean and restock exam rooms to maintain readiness.
- Perform clinical procedures such as EKGs, injections, vaccines, and ear irrigations.
- Complete controlled medication tasks following strict protocols.
- Provide training to new Medical Assistants and contribute to special projects.
- Handle complex phone calls requiring skilled communication and decision‑making.
- Room patients, obtain vitals, medical history, and allergy/asthma updates.
- Accurately document in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Manage clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support.
- Contribute to daily team flow, supporting both patients and fellow staff.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.
- Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance.
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or community college program preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Ability to multi‑task and support multiple providers simultaneously.
- Strong customer‑service skills and attention to detail.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Competitive pay: $21‑$25 per hour, depending on experience.
