Medical Assistant – Eugene, OR (Oregon Allergy Associates)

Position Overview: Full‑time Medical Assistant at Oregon Allergy Associates, a specialty clinic dedicated to allergy, asthma, and immunologic care. The role supports providers to ensure seamless patient care in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare charts, including PDMP reports and necessary consents.
  • Assist with patient discharge and provide after‑visit summaries.
  • Clean and restock exam rooms to maintain readiness.
  • Perform clinical procedures such as EKGs, injections, vaccines, and ear irrigations.
  • Complete controlled medication tasks following strict protocols.
  • Provide training to new Medical Assistants and contribute to special projects.
  • Handle complex phone calls requiring skilled communication and decision‑making.
  • Room patients, obtain vitals, medical history, and allergy/asthma updates.
  • Accurately document in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Manage clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support.
  • Contribute to daily team flow, supporting both patients and fellow staff.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.
  • Demonstrate reliable and consistent attendance.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
  • Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or community college program preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
  • Ability to multi‑task and support multiple providers simultaneously.
  • Strong customer‑service skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
