The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides evaluation, treatment, and education for residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders in a skilled nursing setting.
Responsibilities- assessing and diagnosing impairments
- developing individualized treatment plans
- conducting bedside swallowing evaluations and making dietary recommendations
- delivering therapy and documenting progress
- collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
- educating residents, families, and staff
- supervising assistants and students
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- valid state license
- preferably CCC-SLP certification. Experience in geriatrics or skilled nursing is a plus.
