As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting providers and ensuring seamless patient care. Your responsibilities include:
- Rooming patients, obtaining vitals, medical history, and allergy/asthma updates
- Accurately documenting in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Assisting providers with clinical procedures and testing
- Managing clinical tasks including prior authorizations, referrals, and prescription support
- Contributing to daily team flow, supporting both patients and fellow staff
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
- Medical Assisting diploma from an accredited vocational institution or a community‑college program (preferred)
- At least one year of experience as a Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Ability to multi‑task and provide support to multiple providers
- Strong customer‑service skills and attention to detail
- BLS certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) (preferred)

GeneralPhysical Requirements
- Regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk, or hear
- Occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch
- Regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
Work Environment:
Combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings.
This position involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered or required to receive the Hepatitis‑B vaccination series.
Hepatitis Vaccine PolicyAll employees who may be exposed to blood or body fluids will receive the Hepatitis‑B vaccination series free of charge. Employees will be counseled upon hire regarding the vaccination series, and the series will be initiated at the next scheduled vaccination day after hiring. Documentation will be kept in the employee’s permanent personnel file.
