Direct Support Professional Part Time

Provide support, assistance, and supervision to persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities so they can live valued lives in the community.

• Identify and report any suspected abuse or violations of an individual’s rights.
• Provide support, assistance, and supervision to meet the needs and goals of the individuals according to their plans.
• Ensure each individual’s training, behavior, and support programs are implemented and documented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Protect the health, safety, and well‑being of the individuals at all times.
• Provide a positive, reinforcing environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Follow positioning schedules, use proper equipment and assistive devices per plan.
• Provide necessary assistance for appropriate diet, texture, and equipment.
• Ensure all homes, outside areas, and vehicles are well‑maintained and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required by work location).
• Minimum one year of experience working in the human services field (required by work location).
• Valid driver’s license with all necessary endorsements and a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Successfully complete required pre‑employment background and drug screenings.

• All candidates must submit to a pre‑employment drug screening after receiving a conditional offer of employment. A positive confirmed screening or refusal to submit will result in withdrawal of the offer.
• Direct Support roles are mandated reporters and must report any instances of abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

Hourly: $19.00 SR96HT
