Travel Physical Therapist
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to provide high-quality rehabilitation services across diverse healthcare settings. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and maximize independence while adapting quickly to new clinical environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and functional assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals.
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, body mechanics, and safe mobility techniques.
- Recommend and train patients in the use of assistive devices, orthotics, prosthetics, and adaptive equipment.
- Maintain accurate evaluations, treatment notes, progress reports, and discharge documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of patient care.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies.
- Adapt quickly to new facilities, workflows, and patient populations while maintaining exceptional patient care.
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of practice.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, patient mobility, and functional restoration.
- Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred.
- Previous travel healthcare experience preferred.
- Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), home health, or long-term care settings.
- Experience treating orthopedic, neurological, geriatric, post-surgical, and medically complex patients.
- Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into new clinical environments.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
