Eugene Rheumatology is seeking a Practice Manager:
In this role, you will be responsible for the effective supervision of operations and office staff, ensuring the delivery of compassionate, high-quality care to our patients. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, including maintaining performance standards, managing schedules for both staff and providers, implementing and optimizing the medical billing system, and overseeing third-party reimbursements, physician billing, collections, contract administration, credentialing and management reporting.
Additionally, you will ensure strict compliance with all HIPAA and OSHA regulations and privacy policies.
Supervisory experience is a requirement for this position, and a background in healthcare management is highly preferred. We are looking for a confident individual who can quickly get up to speed. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively manage professional staff are essential. This role will report directly to the MD owner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all day-to-day office operations are running efficiently.
- Negotiate and keep insurance contracts and compliance up to date.
- Coordinates with medical billing staff to ensure efficient and accurate revenue cycle management and accounts receivables.
- Ensures providers credentials are up to date and valid for contracted insurances and licensing boards.
- Monitors and reports financial metrics and financial performance.
- Promotes exceptional patient service and care by all levels of the staff. Coordinate monthly staff meetings.
- Resolve problems related to staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies.
- Interviews, hires, trains and manages a productive medical office team and conducts performance reviews alongside the managing physician.
Documents processes and maintains employee records. - Supervision of patient scheduling, registration, financial counseling, medical records, billing and collection, data entry and processing, and payment posting.
- Assists with business planning and the improvement of administrative processes.
- Ensures regulatory compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, labor laws, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintains compliance with government and 3rd-party payer requirements. - Maintains relationships with vendors.
- Maintain the facilities and equipment in a manner consistent with the highest standards of safety, sanitation, efficiency and appearance.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required.
- Full Time, Exempt Position
- Monday thru Friday 8-5pm
- Compensation dependent upon experience
