The Human Resources Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing effective HR strategies across hiring, training, retention, performance management, compliance, and benefits administration for a multi-entity organization.

This role requires strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment law, along with the ability to stay current on regulatory changes, industry trends, and economic factors impacting the workforce. The HR Manager partners closely with senior leadership on company-wide policies, compliance initiatives, and strategic planning, and oversees the HR team’s hiring, training, and performance management.

This position reports to the Vice President of Administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with executive leadership to provide HR guidance and support across all business entities.
  • Lead company-wide HR strategy, policy development, and compliance initiatives.
  • Participate in strategic planning and organizational development efforts.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and performance management of HR staff.
Recruitment & Staffing
  • Develop and execute recruitment strategies across multiple business units.
  • Identify and evaluate new recruiting channels and advertising platforms.
  • Attend career fairs and hiring events.
  • Analyze job posting performance and optimize recruitment approaches.
  • Create standardized job posting templates and ensure compliance with employment regulations.
  • Review and improve recruiting processes for efficiency and candidate experience.
Training & Development
  • Create job descriptions for new roles.
  • Identify organizational training needs.
  • Design and implement training and development programs.
  • Support employee professional development initiatives as directed by leadership.
Performance Management
  • Oversee company-wide performance review processes and timelines.
  • Train managers on performance management best practices.
  • Update performance tools and systems as needed.
Employee Relations
  • Manage employee concerns, conflicts, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
  • Promote a positive, fair, and inclusive workplace culture.
Compliance & HR Policy
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Advise leadership and managers on complex employee issues.
  • Proactively monitor regulatory changes and recommend policy updates.
  • Support implementation and communication of new HR policies.
Workplace Health & Safety
  • Assist managers with workplace safety initiatives.
  • Coordinate OSHA and safety training resources.
  • Help reduce workplace injury risk and ensure compliance standards are met.
Employee Engagement & Retention
  • Develop initiatives to improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Lead employee recognition and company culture programs and events.
  • Oversee internal communication strategies and identify new tools to improve company-wide messaging.
Additional Duties
  • Support the continued growth and development of the HR department.
  • Assist with departmental planning and role design as the organization expands.
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related communications and announcements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a dedicated HR role.
  • 2+ years of HR management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
  • PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
  • Hospitality industry experience preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong judgment, problem-solving ability, creativity, and results-driven mindset.
