Overview

- Prioritize requests, escalate when necessary, and follow up to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction.
Strong understanding of hardware and software systems, operating systems (Windows and macOS), common applications, and basic networking concepts (IP addressing, DNS). Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote desktop tools.
Effective Troubleshooting StrategiesAsk users about the issue, errors, and recent changes.
Reproduce the issue to understand it better.
Determine whether the issue is hardware or software-related.
Prioritize empathy, active listening, and clear communication. Acknowledge user feelings, provide reassurance, and maintain a friendly, patient tone even in challenging interactions. Tailor responses to individual customer needs.
Preparing for Common Interview Questions- Examples of past experiences handling customer issues, especially challenging ones.
- Specific technical skills and troubleshooting techniques relevant to the role.
- Demonstrations of teamwork and communication abilities.
Familiarize yourself with metrics such as First Contact Resolution (FCR), Customer Satisfaction Score (CSAT), Average Response Time, and Ticket Volume. Understanding these helps gauge performance and identify improvement areas.
