Department Summary

Information Services (IS) is the central information technologyunit at the University of Oregon and provides wide ranging services to campus. Information Services consists of four major functional areas:
Customer Experience, which serves as the key contact pointfor interactions with campus clients and customers;
Applications& Middleware, which manages and supports applications,integration services, identity management and data management;

Information Security, which helps protect virtual or physicalinformation; and Technology Infrastructure, which providesadministration and support for the software, hardware, and servicesneeded to support the campus IT environment. Information Servicesalso includes the Advanced Network Technology Center. IS works closely with the Network for Education and Research in Oregon.

Position Summary

The Program Manager for Learning & Technology Adoption leadsprograms, training, events, and initiatives that support the effective use of technology, services, and processes across the University of Oregon. This role enables faculty, staff, and campus partners to adopt tools and practices that improve learning,workflows, and service delivery.

Working in a collaborative, matrixed environment, the Program Manager partners across Information Services and the broaderuniversity community to translate institutional needs into scalablelearning programs. The role leads through influence, balancingstrategic planning with hands-on execution.

The Program Manager guides programs from concept through execution,aligning goals and outcomes across stakeholders. The role advancesinstitutional priorities by delivering high-impact learningexperiences, supporting technology adoption, and establishingsustainable practices for training, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements
  • Three (3) years of experience planning, coordinating, and delivering complex events from concept through execution, including managing logistics, coordinating across teams or external partners,and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Five (5) years of experience designing and delivering training,learning, or educational content for professional or adultaudiences using a variety of delivery modalities (e.g., in person,virtual, hybrid, or asynchronous).
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve measurable outcomes by improvingworkflows, learning experiences, service delivery, ordecision-making, with documented examples of impact.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous orevolving environments by defining direction, prioritizing work, and driving progress to completion.
