TheOpportunity
Account Manager II manages a more complex or specialized book of insurance business and provides professional, courteous service to clients, carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and HUB colleagues.
Duties & Responsibilities- Service day‑to‑day client needs including fielding phone calls, email, and other communication regarding coverage questions, policy changes, payments, cancellations, etc.
- Manage the execution of all aspects of the client renewal process including obtaining updated information, marketing, terms and pricing negotiation, quote review, presentation of renewal numbers to the Producer and the client (where applicable), and invoicing.
- Review quote documents to ensure all insurance requirements are included in the proposal.
- Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction.
- Manage and delegate work as needed to Associate Account Managers I and II to ensure their progress and workload is appropriate.
- Maintain relationships with underwriters to secure positive results for clients and negotiate coverage with underwriters.
- Ensure the completion and accuracy of proposals, binding of coverage, review of policies for accuracy, and creation of client policy summaries and binders.
- Responsible for setting up and maintaining electronic records.
- Use best practices and internal broker standards for service and maintenance of client files and information.
- Train and collaborate with team members to share and educate on coverage, exposures, and client knowledge.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Four or more years of insurance brokerage or property‑casualty insurance experience in an account management role preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- P & C Insurance Producer License required.
- Current with all necessary CE credits in required lines and states.
- Advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g., AAI, ARM, CIC).
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong reading comprehension and analysis skills.
- Strong data entry skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organization and follow‑up skills.
- Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet utilization.
- Experience with EPIC Agency Management System preferred but not required.

The expected salary range for this position is $32 - $36/hr depending on geographical location and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
