Purchasing Agent Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 20.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday from 07:30am to 04:00pm)

• Source, evaluate, and manage suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance, including negotiating pricing and terms
• Create, track, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and services
• Translate MRP requirements and requisitions into purchasing actions while maintaining accurate vendor and order records
• Resolve purchasing discrepancies and collaborate with internal teams to support production and sales needs

Purchasing Agent

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience
• Familiarity with metals and metalworking/finishing processes
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, sometimes noisy environment
• Basic proficiency in Excel and general computer systems
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands
• Customer service-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
