The City of Eugene Aquatics Team is seeking a Recreation Program Supervisor. This is a key leadership position on a motivated and engaged team focused on providing a clean, safe, fun environment and excellent program opportunities to enhance the health, well-being and quality of life for persons of all ages in the community.

This position supervises daily operations of all Aquatics programs offered by the Recreation division; responsible for development, implementation and evaluation of the services, programs and activities in specific program area and oversees the work of assigned staff; provides responsible budget monitoring; provides facility maintenance coordination

assistance for assigned areas and assists management with long-term goal development. Additionally, this position will be responsible for being actively involved in outreach to the City, Division and Community to further the goals of the Aquatics Section, the Recreation division, and the City of Eugene.

Salary: $35.38 - $45.98 hourly / $73,590.40 - $95,638.40 annually

The City of Eugene determines starting pay within the range based on relevant education and experience as provided by the applicant in their application materials. This process is consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act (OEPA).

Schedule:

Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m. with occasional weekends and evenings per business need.

* Develops, organizes, implements, supervises and evaluates a variety of program activities and services in the assigned area; implements program guidelines and procedures; supervises scheduled activities and programs.

* Plans, prioritizes, coordinates, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of regular and temporary employees, volunteers, interns, and work study students.

* Responsible for the daily operation of the facility; assigns staff schedules and signs staff timesheets; and reviews and approves schedule changes and time off requests.

* Develops, reviews, and updates program policies, procedures, and service standards.

* Monitors and evaluates the quality, responsiveness, efficiency and effectiveness of assigned city recreation programs, service delivery methods and procedures; works with staff on continuous improvement of assigned program; researches new developments in the assigned program area; and participates in community group meetings, community partnership development, and make public presentations as requested.

* Provides maintenance coordination assistance for facility; including work order submissions, facility project coordination, potential need for capital improvements and acts as primary contact for all site security and closure issues related to the facility.

* Reviews rental agreements and community partner applications; and assigns staff to assist with contract administration.

* Prepares and manages the general fund budget for the assigned facility; monitors and oversees attendance and registration data; prepares quarterly budget projections and works with peers and the Section Manager in balancing the Section Budget.

* Works with the Recreation/Cultural Services Marketing team to market and promote services to the public.

* Is responsible for additional marketing or public information that falls outside the scope of the marketing team.

* Ensures the safety of patrons and the public; assigns staff to perform equipment and vehicle maintenance and safety inspections; and creates and submits quarterly safety report for management.

* Monitors and maintains accurate records and generates reports involving expenditures; including approval of petty cash disbursal; purchases of equipment and supplies; orders and procurement card expenditures; and provide additional information and reports as requested.
