POSITION PURPOSE/SUMMARY:

The Team Oregon Build Administrator serves as the primary onsite administrator and operational lead for Team Oregon Build and Ready2

Respond 2026. This position provides overall leadership, coordination, and oversight of event operations, student services, staff supervision, volunteer management, partner engagement, and logistical implementation.

The Administrator serves as the central point of contact for participating students, educators, volunteers, industry partners, public safety agencies, community organizations, and event vendors. The position is responsible for ensuring a safe, organized, and effective learning environment while supporting successful event execution and positive participant experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide overall leadership and administrative oversight for Team Oregon Build and Ready2

    Respond activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all student, staff, volunteer, partner, and operational matters throughout the event.
  • Coordinate and oversee event logistics including scheduling, facilities, transportation, meals, lodging, equipment, supplies, and site operations.
  • Supervise participating staff, support personnel, volunteers, and contracted service providers.
  • Ensure student safety, supervision systems, attendance accountability, and implementation of established behavior expectations.
  • Respond to student, staff, volunteer, and family concerns and facilitate appropriate resolutions.
  • Coordinate with public safety agencies, industry partners, educational institutions, community organizations, and governmental agencies involved in event activities.
  • Oversee implementation of event safety plans, emergency response procedures, risk management practices, and incident reporting processes.
  • Facilitate daily staff briefings, operational meetings, and communication updates.
  • Monitor event activities to ensure alignment with program goals, operational expectations, and safety requirements.
  • Support coordination of student accommodations, wellness needs, and accessibility considerations as appropriate.
  • Provide leadership during emergency situations and serve as the designated administrator responsible for operational decision-making.
  • Maintain effective communication with district leadership, event stakeholders, participating schools, families, and partner organizations.
  • Assist with event planning, preparation, implementation, evaluation, and post-event reporting.
  • Maintain required records, documentation, and reports related to event operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support successful implementation of Team Oregon Build and Ready2

    Respond.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience
  • Valid Oregon administrative license required.
  • Minimum three years of educational leadership, administrative, program management, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience supervising staff and managing large-scale programs, events, or student activities preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple agencies, community organizations, or external partners preferred.
  • Experience in emergency management, school safety, career-connected learning, workforce development, public safety, or related fields preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of student safety requirements, risk management principles, emergency procedures, and incident response protocols.
  • Knowledge of event management, logistics coordination, and operational planning practices.
  • Ability to lead diverse teams and establish positive working relationships with students, staff, volunteers, families, and community partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
  • Ability to analyze situations, resolve problems, and respond effectively to emergencies or unexpected operational challenges.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in oral and written formats with diverse audiences.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across agencies, organizations, and stakeholder groups.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The position requires frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout indoor and outdoor event sites. The employee must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, climb stairs, and navigate uneven terrain. The employee may be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move materials, supplies, or equipment weighing up to 30 pounds.
