Position Summary

The Assistant Director (AD) of Residence Life is a strategic leader responsible for the stewardship of a flourishing residential ecosystem, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residence halls and the supervision of a multi-tiered team of professional Officers of Administration and student workers. This role is centrally defined by its leadership of a primary functional area (50%):
Community Care and Crisis Response. In direct alignment with the Oregon Rising strategic plan, the AD architects a community where the "educational priority" is realized: ensuring residents who live on campus thrive by engaging in and creating just communities. This work is grounded in five residence life learning goals-cultural competence, wellbeing, integrated learning, relationships in community, and responsibility-which serve as the metrics for student flourishing and resilience.
