Homes for Good is seeking an Energy Services Director to lead our weatherization, heat crisis, and energy conservation programs, overseeing a team of Energy Auditors, a Lead Energy Auditor, and an Administrative Specialist.

Homes for Good Housing Agency is the Public Housing Authority for Lane County, Oregon, serving over 5,000 families.

The team includes the Director, six Energy Auditors, a Lead Energy Auditor, and an Administrative Specialist that collaborates with program participants, funders, utility partners, contractors, and agency departments to improve housing energy efficiency.

As the key leadership role, you will oversee weatherization, heat crisis, and energy conservation programs, including operations, funding compliance, vendor coordination, and staff support.

• Analyze plans and administer DOE Weatherization Assistance program and energy conservation programs.
• Supervise and support staff of Energy Auditors and administrative support staff.
• Provide financial oversight of operations; participate in budget preparation, manage cash flows, and ensure timely invoicing to funders and proper vendor payment.
• Participate in developing and implementing program policies and procedures.
• Communicate and coordinate with other agency departments to leverage programmatic partnerships.
• Evaluate, monitor, and inspect overall program operational effectiveness.
• Oversee procurement processes and monitor contracts with outside contractors.
• Prepare reports and documents required by federal grant sources.
• Work with agency leadership to define and support agency-wide goals.
• Apply an equity lens to department processes, procedures, and service delivery.
• Optimize use of multiple funding sources.
• Leverage opportunities with utility companies that serve Lane County.
• Allocate funds to support agency properties when appropriate.
• Work directly with Lane County Housing & Human Services to manage state and federal funding.
• Provide technical assistance to department staff.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOE, HUD, and relevant state or local regulations.
• Serve as a role model in promoting safety awareness and promptly addressing safety concerns.
• Collaborate with staff and other agency departments in the development and implementation of continuity of operations planning; serve as a member of the COOP Incident Command Team.
• Oversee and track required staff member training and certifications.
• Maintain working relationships with the Oregon Housing and Community Services Energy team; stay informed of regulatory updates.
• Attend OHCS Annual meeting and statewide networking events; network with regional WAP agencies.
• Engage with national conferences and regional training centers.
• Stay informed of individual utility goals and regulations.
• Maintain program to meet all funding requirements.
• Schedule, supervise, and respond to annual agency compliance monitoring.
• Select, evaluate, and supervise assigned staff; assign work and ensure appropriate training; recommend disciplinary action when appropriate; handle sensitive personnel matters.
• Participate in committees and ad hoc work groups as required; engage in organization‑wide projects and events related to agency operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
