Location: Remote role open to candidates residing in Washington (WA) or Oregon (OR).
Pay Range: Target annual pay range: $104,632 – $118,900. Full annual range: $95,120 – $142,680.
Job OverviewThis position is responsible for overseeing large, complex projects and programs, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and long‑term goals. It provides mentorship to other project managers, drives business process optimization, and leads cross‑functional teams to deliver impactful results. The role focuses on risk mitigation, continuous improvement, and measurable outcomes, influencing policies and practices to ensure successful program delivery.
Responsibilities- Manage large, complex projects and programs simultaneously, aligning with organizational strategy and long‑term roadmaps.
- Follow established project management methodologies, policies, and procedures.
- Mentor and provide guidance to other project managers.
- Support the PMO by maintaining team values and ensuring all tools, templates, and systems are current and efficient.
- Identify issues in troubled projects or programs and implement solutions for successful outcomes.
- Ensure programs and projects meet objectives while supporting the overall organizational roadmap and driving business process optimization.
- Define, track, and report on measurable outcomes for projects to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Identify and mitigate risks across projects; escalates critical issues to stakeholders with actionable solutions.
- Lead cross‑functional teams with a continuous improvement mindset to deliver results across departments.
- Analyze and present project status, issues, risks, and mitigation plans to stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement by evaluating current processes and recommending enhancements that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Work with Program Managers to direct program activities, ensuring all projects remain on track.
- Complete and review reports related to the Project Management Office as directed by leadership.
- Influence internal and external contacts regarding policies, procedures, or practices to align with organizational objectives.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma (GED equivalent).
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in project management, including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, managing cross‑functional teams, and developing effective business solutions in a financial or operations environment.
- PMI‑ACP certification required.
- Bonus points for a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Additional certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or Agile certifications are advantageous.
- Proficiency with project management software.
- Ability to learn and use the credit union’s core and ancillary systems.
- Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, regulations, and standards relevant to the role.
- Strong relationships with area Vice Presidents, Directors, Branch Managers, and employees.
- Logical reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions for successful outcomes.
- Ability to establish program goals and objectives that support the credit union’s strategic plan.
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of industry and regulatory changes and trends.
- Capacity to lead complex internal projects to completion through collaborative relationships.
- High level of confidentiality in all responsibilities.
- Good judgment and decision‑making within job scope.
- Ability to work under pressure or stress, handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines with frequent priority changes.
Monday through Friday during regular business hours. Full‑time 40 hours per week.
