OverviewWe are seeking a Vice President of Community Engagement to serve as a community leader and partner for the tourism industry throughout Lane County. In this role you’ll drive strategies that strengthen our local economy and enhance quality of life through sustainable tourism.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Leadership and mentorship experience, with a focus on collaborative, results-driven teams.
- Public speaking and media relations experience, including developing messaging and reporting.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze issues, formulate policy/advocacy strategies, and drive community impact.
You’ll be out in the community connecting with partners at events and meetings throughout Lane County. You will work from our downtown Eugene office alongside a team that values collaboration and our mission. The role offers potential for hybrid work after the first few months. Expect varied hours including mornings, evenings and weekends to stay connected with partners and activities that reflect the real-world impact of the work.
Compensationand Benefits
Starting pay: $82,000/year (full-time, exempt)

Position Details- Position is full-time, salaried, executive exempt, with managerial duties based in downtown Eugene. Hybrid in-office/remote schedule may be available after 3 months.
- Reports to the President & CEO.
- Travel may be required for community events and stakeholder engagement.
Lead development and implementation of strategic community engagement, industry activation and destination development to strengthen Lane County’s economy and quality of life. Develop and evaluate engagement strategies aligned with community and industry needs. Build relationships and communications with partners including local businesses, industry associations, media, community leaders, residents, and public/private sector collaborators. Create and communicate clear, accurate, relevant and persuasive messaging and external reports.
Oversee destination development for sustainable visitation. Provide strategic guidance and oversight for membership development, services and events. Manage staff.
