Job Summary

The full‑time implementation of this position combines two major roles of Counseling Clinic Management and Student Clinical Field Experience Coordination. The Clinic Manager oversees Bushnell’s mental health clinic, which serves students and the Eugene area. As a program team member, the Clinical Field Experience Coordinator helps create and coordinate all CMHC student internship and practicum placements, supervising students who treat diverse clients.

The coordinator collaborates with the Director of the CMHC program, faculty, and staff to cultivate relationships with placement sites, maintain a productive work environment, and model professional communication. The position may be split into two half‑time positions if needed.

Position Duties and Responsibilities Integration
  • Provide an excellent role model of wisdom, faith, and service; contribute to the integration of faith and learning on campus.
  • Liaise with university staff and faculty as necessary.
Clinical Field Experience
  • Maintain student files for the CMHC program using electronic databases.
  • Cultivate relationships with internship placement sites and referrals.
  • Develop and monitor practicum and intern student placements and schedules.
  • Review and collaborate with the Program Director to develop or amend clinic and field‑experience manuals and protocols.
  • Attend faculty and staff meetings in CMHC and CHP.
  • Schedule and facilitate non‑clinical staff meetings and the annual Internship Fair.
  • Aid during crisis situations, including locating supervisory personnel.
  • Ensure the program provides a Fieldwork Handbook to all students and site supervisors detailing requirements, expectations, policies, and procedures:
    • CACREP standards and definitions related to supervised practicum and internship.
    • Supervision agreement.
    • Evaluation procedures and requirements.
    • Policy for student retention, remediation, and dismissal from the program.
    • Written supervision agreements outlining roles and responsibilities, emergency procedures, and consultation formats.
    • Orientation of fieldwork site supervisors regarding program requirements and expectations.
    • Student monitoring through shared role with program faculty.
    • Professional development for site supervisors.
Counseling Clinic Management
  • Facilitate quality assessment analysis and reporting.
  • Meet regularly with the CMHC Program Director.
  • Schedule in‑service training for professional and student staff.
  • Support student leads who manage front desk, calls, and intakes.
  • Assign clients to student providers.
  • Market and represent the Counseling Clinic to campus and community.
  • Coordinate facilities maintenance services and technology services.
  • Coordinate insurance documentation as required for em paneling and payment authorization.
  • Coordinate electronic health record software platform.
  • Provide input to discretionary spending of Counseling Clinic budget.
  • Ensure maintenance of clean and professional clinic environment.
  • Focus on prompt scheduling and return of client calls.
