DescriptionPipeworks is growing our Production team and looking for an experienced Executive Producer!
The Executive Producer (EP) is accountable for the successful execution and delivery of one or more full-development game projects. This role provides executive leadership across production, staffing, financial performance, client relationships, and delivery execution. Working closely with Studio Leadership and Discipline Directors, the EP ensures projects meet quality expectations while remaining on schedule and within budget. The EP serves as the senior operational leader for the engagement, balancing client goals, business objectives, team health, and delivery excellence.
Dayto Day Project Leadership
- Provide executive oversight from project inception through launch and post-launch support.
- Define delivery strategy, governance, staffing plans, milestone structure, and project objectives.
- Ensure production leadership maintains realistic schedules, execution plans, and transparent reporting.
- Partner with Lead Producers to remove roadblocks and enable delivery success.
- Drive accountability across Engineering, Art, Design, QA, Production, and support disciplines.
- Serve as the executive point of contact for publishing and development partners.
- Develop trusted relationships with client leadership.
- Lead executive business reviews and milestone discussions.
- Manage delivery expectations and negotiate scope changes alongside studio leadership.
- Resolve escalated production, financial, and relationship issues.
- Own overall project financial performance.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, utilization, burn rate, and profitability.
- Partner with Finance to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Make staffing and scope recommendations that protect project health and business objectives.
- Mentor Senior Producers and Project Managers.
- Partner with discipline leaders on staffing strategy and organizational planning.
- Promote sustainable production practices and healthy team culture.
- Support hiring, succession planning, and leadership development.
- Identify schedule, staffing, technical, financial, and quality risks.
- Drive mitigation planning across departments.
- Escalate critical issues with clear recommendations and decision options.
- Contribute to studio planning and operational improvements.
- Help establish production standards and best practices.
- Participate in strategic planning and long-term business initiatives.
- 10+ years of professional game development experience.
- 5+ years leading large-scale game development programs.
- Multiple shipped console, PC, or live service titles.
- Strong financial and resource planning experience.
- Demonstrated success managing publisher or external development relationships.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through all phases of development.
