Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Fabricator / Fitter role in Eugene, OR. Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to fabricate and fit components accurately.
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal or other materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Fit, align, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications and tolerances.
- Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, brakes, rollers, presses, and welding equipment as required.
- Perform quality checks to ensure finished components meet dimensional and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies.
- Collaborate with team members, welders, and supervisors to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
- Accurately document work completed, materials used, and any deviations from drawings.
- Identify and report equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns promptly.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training is a plus.
- Prior experience as a fabricator, fitter, or in a related manufacturing role preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
- Welding experience or certifications are a plus but not required (training may be provided).
