Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Fabricator / Fitter role in Eugene, OR. Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to fabricate and fit components accurately.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal or other materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Fit, align, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications and tolerances.
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as saws, brakes, rollers, presses, and welding equipment as required.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure finished components meet dimensional and quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Collaborate with team members, welders, and supervisors to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
  • Accurately document work completed, materials used, and any deviations from drawings.
  • Identify and report equipment issues, material defects, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training is a plus.
  • Prior experience as a fabricator, fitter, or in a related manufacturing role preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
  • Welding experience or certifications are a plus but not required (training may be provided).
