Laser Operator

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Laser Operator role in Eugene, OR. • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC laser cutting equipment to produce parts according to specifications.

• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely and efficiently.

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and cut files to ensure accurate production.

• Perform quality inspections on finished parts to verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface quality.

• Make basic machine adjustments and offsets as needed to maintain cut accuracy.

• Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and preventative checks on laser equipment.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company safety standards.

• Accurately document production data, material usage, and completed work orders.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals.

• Promptly report machine malfunctions, material defects, or safety concerns.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.

• Prior experience operating CNC laser equipment or similar machinery preferred.

• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools (tape measure, calipers).

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.

• Basic computer skills for machine operation and data entry.

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Willingness to work varying shifts and overtime as required.

• Experience with metal fabrication is a plus, but training may be provided.
