Position OverviewThe Crushing Plant Operator /Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of portable rock crushing equipment and associated heavy machinery to produce aggregate materials for construction and related applications. This hands‑on role plays a key part in daily production by operating crushing systems, managing material flow, performing equipment inspections, and supporting plant maintenance.
This position travels with ARI’s portable crushing plants, which are typically stationed in the Creswell, Salem, Silverton, or Roseburg, Oregon areas. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety‑focused, and capable of working independently while contributing to overall team productivity and performance.
Schedule- Full‑time; frequent travel required, typically Monday through Friday with lodging provided near job sites.
- Typical annual earnings: $70,000 - $100,00 per year.

Experience:
Previous experience working in construction or equivalent industry required. - Driver License:
Valid driver’s license with a driving record that includes no more than 3 moving violations and/or chargeable accidents in the last 3 years and no DUIIs. - Education:
High School Degree or equivalent. - Travel:
Ability and willingness to travel away from home during the workweek (typically Monday–Friday). - ATF clearance:
Must pass a background check through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives in compliance with federal explosive handling regulations. - Drug Test and Physical Screening:
Pre‑employment drug test and physical required. We conduct random drug tests and post‑accident testing. ARI maintains a zero‑tolerance drug policy, including marijuana.

Operates crushing plant equipment safely and efficiently to produce specified aggregate materials. - Heavy Equipment Operation:
Operates loaders, excavators, and other equipment to manage feed material, stockpiles, and site operations. - Equipment Inspections:
Performs daily pre‑operational inspections and monitors equipment for performance and safety concerns. - Preventative Maintenance:
Completes routine maintenance including greasing, cleaning, adjustments, and minor repairs. - Troubleshooting:
Identifies and assists in resolving mechanical or operational issues to minimize downtime. - Material Management:
Ensures consistent material flow and proper handling of raw and finished product. - Safety Compliance:
Completes workplace exams, pre‑shift inspections, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) in accordance with company and MSHA standards. - Worksite Housekeeping:
