Pay: $25.80/hour plus $0.75 Shift Differential

Hours:

Monday - Friday 10:00PM - 6:30AM

We are seeking a Lumber Production Worker for a Temp-Hire position with our client, a reputable lumber mill that supplies high-quality Doug Fir dimensional lumber located in Eugene, Oregon.
The Lumber Production Worker will play an essential role in the hands on processing of dimensional lumber. The ideal candidate will maintain an organized and safe environment while actively contributing to the efficient processing of lumber products.
This is a great opportunity to be a part of a large and local milling company and further your career in this industry, located in Eugene, Oregon.

As Lumber Production Worker, you will be responsible for:

• Remove lumber, glulam beams, or wood components from production equipment.
• Separate ("break out") finished products according to size, length, grade, or customer specifications.
• Inspect lumber for defects, damage, or quality concerns.
• Handle long lengths of lumber.
• Understand how Glue Report Operates and follow procedures to a T.
• Learn clamp pressure.
• Learn Lay-up and Lock-ups.
• Set camber jigs.
• Notify your supervisor of any quality issues immediately.
• Be and STAY ALERT at all times.
• Run a 35 lbs. air gun and utilization of hand tools as needed.
• Know and utilize all Lock-out/Tag-out procedures associated with your duties.

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

• Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs.
  • This is a Very physical job, body conditioning will be necessary!
• Must understand fundamentals of Lam Beam Lay-ups.
• Communicate with co-workers and supervisor effectively.
• Work with and promote a teamwork environment.
• Promote and support a strong safety culture.
• Must be willing to fill-in on off-shift and overtime WHEN required
