Grain Millers, Inc. is a leading provider of whole grain ingredients used in cereals, breads, bars, snacks and many other food products throughout North America. Proudly, we have had no layoffs in our 35+ year history. We are looking for a Systems Operator to work a 4 on 4 off shift 6am‑6pm.
Position SummaryResponsible for all items related to the operation and maintenance of the BRT facility and packaging areas, and for advising maintenance and management on needed repairs.

- Package both 50 lb. bags and 1500‑2000 lb. tote bags
- Operate a forklift
- Perform general facility clean‑up
- Transfer raw product through system/components
- Operate and monitor equipment and process conditions continuously, ensuring product specifications are met
- Understand production process and functionality of each piece of equipment
- Troubleshoot equipment, replace wear parts, and perform equipment clean‑out
- Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Flexible and willing to accept changes on short notice
- Willing and able to learn new technology
- Possess at least basic computer skills
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to work with others in a team environment
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Climbing stairs and ladders
- Lifting up to 50 lbs
- Bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, gripping, and standing for long periods of time
- Good vision (20/12 corrected or better) for visual product inspections
- Good sense of hearing, smell, and taste
Work environment consists of working in dust and areas of high heat surfaces, with exposure to a variety of temperatures both inside and outside the plant. The work environment is not climate controlled.
Required protective equipment: safety glasses, earplugs or muffs, bump cap, dust mask and/or respirator as required.
