POSITIONSUMMARY
We are looking for a marketing and sales professional who brings an experienced perspective to both brand campaigns and revenue-generating partnerships. This role owns the full marketing calendar, while also handling the organization’s sponsorship sales effort. On the marketing side, this role drives digital strategy, social media, and integrated campaigns. On the sponsorship side, this role is responsible for setting sponsorship goals and strategy, as well as delivering new sponsorship sales.

- Develop and deliver on the annual marketing calendar and promotions strategy
- Plan and execute registration-driving campaigns across digital, email, and paid channels
- Track and report on performance metrics and KPIs across all marketing channels
- Develop strategy, content schedule, and guidelines for all social media platforms
- Oversee engagement and social customer service across platforms
- Develop content campaigns and programming in coordination with the communications team
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective sponsors across categories — local vendors, regional brands, and national partners
- Independently prospect, pitch, and close small and medium sponsorship deals: outreach, proposal development, negotiation, and contract
- Develop sponsorship packages, decks, and pitch materials to support larger sales, whether closed independently or with an outside agency
- Serve as day-to-day liaison with any external marketing, sales or partnership agency work
- Manage existing sponsor accounts and lead renewal conversations
- Identify and sell ancillary assets: festival vendor booths, ads, etc.
- Coordinate sponsor fulfillment across teams (venue, communications, event presentation); ensure every commitment is delivered
Required:
- 3+ years in marketing, sponsorship sales, or a meaningful combination of both
- Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools and analytics tools
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage a complex seasonal calendar
- Excellent written communication and content sensibility
- Experience managing contractors or part-time staff
- Demonstrated ability to close deals or move prospects through a sales pipeline, even if outside a traditional sales title
- Experience in digital content creation or production
- Experience marketing events, sports, fitness, or lifestyle brands
- Knowledge of the Eugene and Oregon markets
- Familiarity with sponsorship fulfillment, B2B partnerships, or experiential activations
- Passion for running, community events, or endurance sports
