LHC Board of Directors Member

Little Hands Can (LHC) is a non‑profit organization based in Eugene, Oregon, dedicated to cultivating opportunities for youth to give back through simple acts of service. LHC is seeking enthusiastic individuals to serve on its working board, which holds dual roles in governance, strategy, and fundraising.

• Attend Board of Directors meetings, which are held every other month on the fourth Tuesday at 7 p.m., via online conferencing or in person at our Eugene/Springfield, OR location.
• Provide governance and strategic planning, including fiduciary oversight and the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.
• Contribute to fundraising efforts by writing grants, planning and participating in local fundraising activities, and supporting LHC’s visibility and sustainability.
• Assist the Executive Directors in expanding LHC’s support network and enhancing the organization’s visibility within the community and beyond.
• Oversee program planning and evaluation to ensure mission alignment and impact.

Board members are expected to dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per month. Employment begins as soon as possible and continues for a three‑year appointment, contingent upon the completion of two months of volunteer service.

• Passion for LHC’s mission and a demonstrated ability to promote nonprofit visibility.
• Experience serving on a board of directors or, alternatively, strong skills that would make an individual an effective board member.
• Comfort with fundraising, including experience with grant writing and community fundraising initiatives.
• Strong governance skills, including strategic planning, policy development, and program evaluation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the Executive Director and other board members.
