Pay: $2,262 per week

We are seeking a traveling First Assist RN to assist and work alongside a surgeon during preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care.

• AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
• BSN from an accredited nursing program, and proper licensure.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Certification as a First Assist RN, certification in perioperative nursing.
• Operating room experience required.

Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience

• Assist surgeon in general and specialized surgeries.
• Prepare patients for surgery.
• Provide patient care and support.
• Administer medications.
• Practice surgical procedures such as controlling bleeding and suturing incisions, draping, providing exposure, and handling tissue.
• Prepare all necessary supplies.
• Position and prepare the patient on the operating table.
• Monitor the patient’s vital signs and heart rate.
• Educate patient and family on operation and aftercare.
• Perform post-operative assessments and monitoring.
• Perform CPR or emergency measures if required.
• All other responsibilities as needed.
