Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Job Description

General
Position Summary:
Conduct and review mental health assessments and necessary follow up services. Review Assessments and Treatment Plans conducted by QMHP’s at minimum annually or designate this task to qualified staff. Consult with clinic team as needed. Provide diagnostic evaluations as needed, Medication prescribing and follow-up. Work with OPMH clinic team and Behavioral Health Residential team to provide care coordination to clients.

Full Time and Part Time available
Location:
Salem Clinic and/or Eugene Clinic
Shift Options:
Monday - Friday 8 or 10 hours (depending on availability and home needs)
Hourly Wage Scale: $55.25 to $70.43
Skill & Effort:
Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Oregon
Training, experience, and demonstrated competence in:
Conducting mental health assessments
Providing psychiatric medication management
Prescriptive authority in the State of Oregon
Active DEA license (Oregon) or ability to obtain prior to start date
Authorization to practice as an advanced practice clinician in an outpatient mental health setting in Oregon
Ability to provide and maintain:
Current professional licensure
Required insurance documentation (as applicable)
Willingness to undergo license verification with the appropriate State of Oregon licensing boards
Knowledge of and ability to comply with:
HIPAA
OSHA
Applicable federal and state healthcare regulations
Ability to:
Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team
Communicate effectively in verbal and written form with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Basic proficiency with:
Electronic medical records (EMR)
Computer-based clinical documentation systems
