About the Position
Lane County Public Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Family & Child Health (FCH) team, delivering the nationally recognized Nurse‑Family Partnership (NFP) program. In this role you’ll work one‑on‑one with first‑time parents, beginning in early pregnancy through a child’s second birthday, supporting healthier pregnancies, stronger parent‑child relationships, and long‑term family stability. Family & Child Health envisions a community where all families are healthy, safe, and supported.

Responsibilities- Provide nursing case management and conduct perinatal, child health, and mental health assessments.
- Deliver evidence‑based health education and parenting support.
- Build trusted relationships with families to support their individual goals.
- Work independently in the field while managing your own caseload.
- Serve families throughout Lane County in both rural and urban communities, with a county vehicle available for work‑related travel.
- Complete documentation and case management remotely as needed.
- Participate in orientation and receive flexible scheduling options, including a Monday–Friday or four‑day workweek.
- Passion for supporting families from pregnancy through early childhood.
- Understanding of perinatal mental health and early childhood development.
- Background in labor & delivery, pediatrics, home health, or mental health.
- Ability to work autonomously while building strong, trusting relationships.
- Comfort working in family homes across diverse communities.
- Understanding of social determinants of health and applying an equity lens in care.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited college or university, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
- State of Oregon Nursing License; NPI (with Oregon address by time of hire).
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Valid photo .
- Successful completion of a criminal offender information record check and drug screening test.
- Agreement to verify license and certification status through the screening process.
40 hours per week; either Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
