Pay: $80-$84/hr
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 8am-4pm No Nights, No Weekends, No On-Call
Community Medical Services (CMS) is hiring immediately a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to help patients recovering from addictions to opioids and other illicit substances. Whether performing physical exams and assessments or prescribing and managing methadone treatment plans, your work will help foster a safe place for anyone beginning their recovery journey with us — in a consistent, outpatient setting with predictable hours, no nights, and no weekends.
WhatYou'll Do
- Ensure medical evaluations, histories, and physical exams are complete before patients receive their initial dose of medication
- Manage ongoing treatment, including signing medical orders, treatment plans, and required documentation
- Maintain case management responsibility for patients' chronic health conditions and prescription medication management
- Complete same-day clinical documentation using required visit templates in the EHR
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations and facilitate referrals for continuum of care
- Collaborate closely with the Medical Director to meet patients' healthcare needs
- Educate patients, families, and staff on medication actions, side effects, and health habits

Requirements
What We're Looking For- Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Oregon
- Unrestricted DEA license, plus the federal authorization required to prescribe and manage methadone treatment
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Clinical experience in substance abuse rehabilitation or opioid treatment preferred, not required
- Experience documenting in an electronic medical record
- Ability to complete a fingerprint clearance and TB test
