The Ark Veterinary Clinic is looking to add new teammates to our incredible growing team!

Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding client care including client education.
  • Answer telephones, greet and assist clients.
  • Gather client and patient information.
  • Keep clients up to date on their pet’s status.
  • Fill medications.
  • Conduct efficient client check‑in and check‑out.
  • Scan and upload documents to the patient’s chart.
  • Respond to incoming emails and text messages.
Veterinary Assistant Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care and treatment.
  • Restrain animals during blood‑draws and nail‑trims.
  • Aide with routine diagnostic tests (e.g., taking radiographs, running bloodwork, reading and reporting certain test results with the Veterinarian).
  • Administer vaccines and/or medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision.
  • Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments/equipment.
  • Maintain inventory and stocking.
  • Clean and disinfect cages, kennels, exam and treatment areas of the hospital.
  • Ensure that all estimates are signed when interacting with all clients.
  • Depending on experience: monitor hospitalized pets or aid in caring for animals after surgery.
Qualifications
  • Preference given to individuals who have worked in the veterinary field.
  • Surgical experience is a plus.
  • At least 18 months in the veterinary field is a plus.
  • Willingness to cross‑train as a Receptionist and a Veterinary Assistant.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – warm, welcoming, and the main face of the clinic.
Schedule

Four 9‑9.5 hour shifts a week with the willingness to cover if necessary.

Ability and willingness to work rotating weekends is mandatory.
