We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Scientist I to join our team in producing and analyzing fluorescent protein-based products. This role is integral to our collaborative manufacturing environment, where you will focus on creating high-quality biomolecules that meet both customer requirements and quality standards, all while achieving our business objectives. The ideal candidate will bring strong laboratory skills, experience with proteins or antibodies, and a capacity to excel in a dynamic scientific manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities- Produce fluorescent protein-based products according to established manufacturing procedures.
- Purify and analyze fluorescent dye-labeled antibodies and biomolecules.
- Utilize HPLC, FPLC, and gravimetric separation techniques.
- Analyze, interpret, and accurately document scientific data.
- Support product quality and process consistency through careful laboratory procedure execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet production schedules and customer expectations.
- Maintain laboratory documentation and records.
- Adhere to safety policies, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.
- Support department goals related to safety, quality, productivity, and delivery timelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- General laboratory experience in chemistry, biochemistry, or biology.
- Experience with protein purification, antibody handling, or biomolecule analysis.
- Proficiency with UV-Vis spectroscopy and standard laboratory techniques.
- Strong skills in scientific data analysis and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with HPLC and/or FPLC.
- Bioconjugation chemistry experience.
- Experience working with fluorescent proteins or labeled antibodies.
- Experience in the biotechnology or life sciences manufacturing industry.
- GMP or regulated laboratory experience.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and team orientation, with the ability to work independently.

JobType & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eugene, OR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.50/hr.
