As the Retail Operations Leader, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our store operates efficiently and delivers on our brand’s values and mission. Your primary responsibilities will include managing operational processes, inventory management, leading a passionate team, overseeing financial performance, and maintaining a safe store environment.
Key Responsibilities:Leadership:
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and coaching associates.
- Support associate development and ensure effective training across the store.
- Handle associate concerns and foster a positive team culture.
- Oversee daily tasks to meet the needs of our business and pet owners.
- Lead and instruct associates on operational processes with a focus on pet care safety and health.
Experience:
- Oversee the care of store‑owned pets and ensure compliance with pet health standards.
- Manage inventory processes, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
- Continuously improve store operations and customer service experience.
- Maintain communication with vendors and uphold backroom standards.
- Analyze sales trends and make informed merchandising decisions.
- Identify business growth opportunities and track performance against P&L objectives.
- Monitor and control labor, supplies, and other store metrics.
- Minimum of 3 years of retail leadership experience or in a customer‑centric environment.
- Willingness to work full‑time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- Typically supervises up to three lead associates and around forty non‑leader associates.
- Responsible for key employment decisions and associate coaching.
- Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- May be required to work in an environment with pets and varying noise levels.
