Job Summary

The Customer Service Supervisor at Pet Smart ensures unparalleled service to pet parents while aligning with our vision and values. This role is key to enhancing the pet parent experience through effective communication, loyalty programs, and in-store engagement, while achieving set performance goals. You will also share the responsibility for maintaining a safe and clean environment, merchandising, and fostering associate involvement.

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership: Assist in the onboarding and development of associates through training, mentoring, and coaching; participate in performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Oversee daily operational tasks and engage with associates as the Leader on Duty.

Address and resolve associate issues and recognize outstanding contributions to promote team morale.

Store and Brand Experience

Ensure an exceptional experience for pet parents during in-person, phone, and online interactions.

Lead store events related to pet adoptions and partnerships with veterinarians.

Assist with live pet sales and ensure best practices for pet adoption.

Handle online orders for in-store pickup smoothly to enhance customer satisfaction.

Maintain compliance with company policies while keeping the store clean and safe.

Respond promptly to any incidents involving sick or injured pets.

Qualifications

2+ years of retail experience with a focus on customer service.
Leadership experience preferred.
Flexibility to work full-time hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Proficient in computer applications.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Occasional exposure to a variety of work conditions, including noise and live animals.
