Innovative Air is a fast-growing, well-established, and reputable HVAC company seeking a motivated Commercial HVAC Service Apprentice to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a long-term career in the commercial HVAC industry while working alongside experienced technicians and receiving hands-on training.
The ideal candidate is dependable, eager to learn, customer-focused, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. As a Commercial HVAC Service Apprentice, you will assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC systems while developing the technical skills needed to advance into a Service Technician role.
Position Responsibilities
* Assist experienced technicians with maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC equipment.
* Learn to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
* Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
* Assist with equipment startups, repairs, and replacements.
* Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
* Safely operate ladders, scissors lifts, and genie lifts.
* Learn basic sheet metal fabrication and installation practices.
* Develop knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques.
* Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
* Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Innovative Air professionally at all job sites.
* Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
* HVAC trade school enrollment or completion preferred.
* Basic understanding of HVAC systems and tools.
* Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
* Ability to lift, carry, and work with HVAC equipment and materials.
* Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude.
