Operations Technician II Responsibilities

  • Follow company policies and apply appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
  • Adhere to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, protecting community, personnel, environment, and assets
  • Maintain general knowledge of site, location, equipment, permits, and compliance
  • Complete reports, logs, and maintain accurate records of process operations and preventative maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
  • Operations Technician II: High School Diploma or GED plus at least 3 years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role. Preferred:
    Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree with at least 2 years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Operations Technician III: High School Diploma or GED plus at least 2 years of related experience and 1 year as a technician in the oil and gas industry. Preferred:
    Associate’s or 2‑year technical degree.
Physical and Environmental Work Requirements
  • Work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces.
  • Carry or lift up to 50 lbs and team‑lift loads greater than 50 lbs as needed.
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for long periods.
  • Work at elevated levels from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, or small towers with appropriate PPE.
Shift, Work Hours & Travel Requirements
  • Available for after‑hours, on‑call rotations, nights, weekend shifts, and holidays.
  • May require overtime, 10‑12 hour shifts, and travel between Williams locations, including occasional overnight stays.
Other Requirements
  • Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency with technology and applications to increase operational efficiency.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and safety‑first approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and PC skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers.
