Pest Technician

About the Role

We are a member of the Rentokil family, a global leader in pest control services focusing on residential customers. As a Pest Control Technician you will identify and eliminate pests, conduct thorough inspections, apply treatments and advise customers on prevention.

• Conduct thorough inspections to identify signs of pest infestation, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, in compliance with safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention methods and advise on reducing risk of future infestations.
• Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales, and expand product offerings.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and functional.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
• Drive and safely operate a company‑provided service vehicle.

• Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, and narrow aisles.
• Work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions while wearing company‑provided gear.
• Perform frequent physical activity: standing, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and moving between stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
• Wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA‑compliant respirator.

• Clean‑shaven face for safety reasons.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience/training.
• Valid driver’s license of residence state.
• Licenses or certificates required by federal, state, or local regulations (provided by the company).
• Availability to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed.
• Open to learning and becoming knowledgeable in all pest control areas.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills for mixing product labels.
• Customer‑facing experience preferred.
