Maintenance Technician Responsibilities

  • Perform general plumbing, electrical and heating, ventilation and air conditioning repairs to the facilities equipment and systems in manner effective for ongoing business operations, without interruption to the guest.
  • Perform inspections of equipment and systems as needed to identify problems or issues.
  • Consult blueprints, building plans, vendor and preventative maintenance agreements to identify best solutions to resolve systems or equipment issues.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure that plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems continue operating properly.
  • Communicate consistently with team to ensure sharing of knowledge and status, document as needed.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks and maintain inventory of supplies.
Experience
  • Ability to read blueprints, repair manuals.
  • Skilled with hand tools and power tools.
  • Knowledge of general plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems preferred.
Maintenance Technician Requirements
  • Oregon State issued driver’s license and a clean driving record for 4+ years.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Must be physically able to climb ladders, work at heights, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.
  • Able to work cohesively with a team and take direction.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds consistently.
  • Position is subject to prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to read/write/speak English.
Proficiencies
  • Courteous, friendly and service oriented.
  • Ability to follow instruction.
  • Adept at managing time and estimating supply needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Team-oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

This is a full-time position. Starting Rate: $19/hr
