Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role located in Eugene, OR. The Carpenter will perform a variety of construction tasks, including framing, installing structural components, and executing finish carpentry such as trim, doors, and cabinetry. Daily responsibilities include measuring and cutting materials, using hand and power tools, reading and interpreting plans, and assisting in the setup and cleanup of job sites.
The role requires working closely with supervisors and other trades, following safety procedures, and maintaining high standards of workmanship on all projects.
Qualifications
- Strong carpentry skills, including general construction and framing experience.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, levels, tape measures, and chisels.
- Ability to safely operate power tools, including saws, drills, and nail guns.
- Experience with finish carpentry, including trim work, door installation, and cabinetry.
- Understanding of basic building codes, measurements, and construction math.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints or construction plans.
- Reliable transportation to the Eugene, OR job site and ability to work full-time hours.
- Physical ability to lift materials, stand for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in residential or commercial construction; apprenticeship or trade school training is a plus.
