Journey Level Mechanic

Weyerhaeuser seeks a Journey Level Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production and mobile equipment in a high-volume wood products facility. You'll perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to maximize uptime and support safe, efficient operations. This role partners closely with operations and safety teams, follows strict LOTO and environmental standards, and documents work in maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mill and mobile equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective repairs
• Follow safety, lockout/tagout, and environmental procedures
• Collaborate with operations and safety teams to minimize downtime
• Document work orders and parts usage in maintenance systems
• Support continuous improvement of reliability and maintenance practices
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues before failure
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
• Assist with equipment installations and modifications
