** Job Duties (in part)
*** Due to the nature of this position for training, the required work hours are 8 a.m.– 5 p.m., Monday through Friday in office, with an hour scheduled for lunch. After training is complete, there may be more schedule flexibility.
** Review individuals’ case documents and records to determine if a child support order is needed.
* Contact agency customers and other service providers to gather information to assist in establishing paternity and to establish and enforce support orders.
* Establish, modify, enforce, and provide accounting records for child support orders by deciding needed action.
* Apply federal and state laws, rules, and agency policies and procedures.
* Verify payments are properly disbursed.
* Verify accuracy of any state agency claims against child support.
* Request, review, and evaluate paternity declarations to initiate action. Complete and file legal documents to establish paternity. Process modification requests.
* Gather wage and health care information, research and apply child support guidelines to calculate support obligation.
** Required Experience

*** Three (3) years of experience working with the public in person or by phone giving information about services and programs and solving customer problems/complaints. Experience must include the use of personal computers, web-based applications, and typical software such as Microsoft Office.

* ** A Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the above experience.
* Work experience is based on a 40-hour work week. (Example: 20 hours a week for one year would equal six-months of work experience.)
*** AND
* ** Finalists must pass a comprehensive employment reference check and fingerprint-based criminal background check. A driver history check will be included for positions requiring state vehicle driving privileges. Adverse findings will be evaluated to determine eligibility for the position.
* After one year and upon a successful completion of trial service as a Child Support Case Manager-Entry, employees will meet the minimum qualifications of Child Support Case Manager and be placed in the Child Support Case Manager classification (Salary Range (21) - $4,833- $6,713 monthly. 6% of which is the Public Employees Retirement System…
